We had been looking for a farmhouse to restore so we could transform it into a small hotel for some time, and although we had seen several, no one had yet convinced us. In May 2005, by chance, we happened upon the hills of Senigallia. Hidden by brambles and bushes we see a house just like that of a child\u2019s drawings: simple, essential, maternal, fragile and generous. A square-plan farmhouse, typical of the Marche hills, made entirely of bricks handmade in the village kiln dated back to 1800. It now appeared to be a ruin abandoned for years, as were the outbuildings: the ancient pigsty, the well and the old oven. Thanks to the expert and philological work of architect Gianni Volpe, an expert in restoration, and with the help of Nello and Mirko Sabatini\u2019s construction company, we have brought the original nature of the place back to life by researching in detail and respecting the volumes and traditional form. At the end of July 2006 Solea sees the light. And our story begins.","DescrizioneDettagliata":"On the first floor, along a ring corridor, are the 6 double-only rooms. All enjoy a view of the hilly panorama and average 20\/24 m2. The furnishings are minimalist, with oak furniture and linen fabrics colored with natural hues. Bagged spring mattresses, made by a small local manufacturer, are particularly comfortable, as are pillows also with bagged springs or latex for those who prefer them. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, air conditioning and heating, in-room telephone and bar fridge. There is no television.\nBeyond the patio, behind the old well, is the old chicken coop which now houses two superior double bedrooms called the \u201cWell Houses\u201d: both enjoy a natural terrace and a particularly evocative panoramic view. They are very intimate rooms on the ground floor, in direct contact with nature. They have a width of 20\/22 m2, with private bathroom and shower, air conditioning and heating, telephone in the room and fridge Bar. There is no television. One room is designed to accommodate disabled people.\nThe old oven is a small one-story house where bread was once baked for surrounding families. During the restoration, it was transformed into a 60-square-meter mini apartment\/open space. Ideal for a family of up to 4 people. It consists of a living room with a sofa bed, a table and the equipped kitchen. The ancient tiles and tiles finish the roof which is supported by a large wooden truss as in the original structure. The custom-designed kitchen cabinet separates the sleeping part where there is a large double bed (king size) and a large bathroom. Outside, a patio with a Sangiovese grape pergola provides refreshment on sunny days. The mini apartment can accommodate disabled people.
